The PVC tension cover is an excellent way to cover GRP, Steel , Stainless steel, and-or Concrete storage tanks.
Depending on the chemical composition of the liquid, and height of the tank wall, the required center column can be applied in either hardwood or a stainless steel version.
Depending on the snow load, the slope angle is between 15 and 20 degrees.
Each cover is special and is tailored to the customer’s needs.
Size and number of manholes can be customized. Any filling lines and/or pipe penetrations can be mounted through the tension cover via the side of the tank wall.
Special PVC covers: divided PVC tension covers against a pipe bridge; PVC tension cover with half a pipe bridge incorporated; inverted PVC tension cover, temporary PVC tension cover, and these are all custom-made to the customer’s requirements
The PVC tension cover is manufactured from a high quality 900 gr/m² PVC film or equivalent. (also possible with a KIWA certificate).
The PVC tension cover is also available with drinking water qualified foil. This is equipped with food-grade certificate.
Materials such as the cam plate and ratchets are made of stainless steel. As standard, the rim tube is galvanized steel, but this can also be made of stainless steel.
After placing the center column, depending on the diameter of the tank and location, the tension cover can be lifted onto the tank in its entirety. If this is not possible, the tensile structure is unrolled and mounted on the tank. By tightening the edge tube with ratchets, the PVC tensile cover is pulled tight.
The top edge of the storage tank or silo is covered with protective felt. All assembly work is carried out under the supervision of ISS Tanks and with expert construction teams.
